The rational decision making model is an approach to decision making in a structured and sequential form. It incorporates a series of move such as the identification of problem or opportunity, gathering information, analysis of the situations to develop and evaluate options, selection of an alternative, and acting on the decision chosen. It is an ideal model since it provides a discipline channel of making decision. However, this model is quit time consuming as it involves investigation of the existing problems or opportunity before the channel of action is made (Amadi-Echendu, 2012, p. 117).On the other hand, the intuitive decision making model is found on an individual making a decision based on instincts or inner knowing or intuitions. This technique is ideal in situations that require prompt/ timely decision making.
